At UMD, internships are “decentralized,” meaning there is not one central department responsible for overseeing all internship processes at UMD. The Career Center will assist you in connecting with internship coordinators, academic departments, and students to fill your internship needs.
Whether or not an internship can be done for credit varies between academic departments, and therefore it is the student’s responsibility to seek possible credit for an internship.
