What does it mean to be Career Ready?

Many students think that a major leads to one specific career path. In reality, today’s workforce is built on acquiring skills each major provides, as well as experiences, to be Career Ready.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), there are eight career ready areas students develop throughout college with any major they choose. These Career Readiness Competencies are the core skills that employers are looking for that you can name, demonstrate on your resume, and discuss during an interview.
