Sue Holm

Career Development Assistant Director

Background: I graduated from UMD with a double major of Psychology and Communication. I worked for 5 years in the student loan industry then returned to UMD to complete a Master's in Educational Psychology/Counseling. I worked at both The College of St. Scholastica and UW-Superior prior to my current role at UMD. I truly love career counseling and helping students figure out what they want to do “for the rest of their lives”!

Areas of Expertise: I love to meet with students on exploring majors and careers and on applying to graduate and professional schools. I am a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and also love working with people to discover their strengths! I am certified in interpreting the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory, so I meet with students and do presentations on all the assessments we offer, as well as applying to graduate and professional schools.

Interests: I love to travel and have been to 27 of the 50 states in the US, but I want to do more international travel!
