Background: I have worked at the University of Minnesota Duluth since 2000. In my current position, as the Employer Engagement Assistant Director, I create partnerships with local, regional, and national employers to connect them with UMD students and alumni. I also manage Handshake, the UMN online recruiting system, and on campus recruiting programs including career fairs and employer information sessions.
Prior to joining the Career Center team in 2014, I was the Education Director at UMD’s Tweed Museum of Art where I facilitated direct interactions with original works of art for UMD and K-12 students. I earned a Master in Education from UMD and a Bachelor’s in Studio Art and Art History from Illinois State University. I have been a licensed Art Teacher for grades K-12.
Areas of Expertise: I strive to build relationships with employers and lead large- and small-scale events that create access and connections to increase job and internship opportunities for UMD students and alumni.
Interests: I enjoy spending time with my 3 children, engaging in art activities, cheering them on at their sporting events and spending quality time outside, especially in the beautiful city of Duluth.
